Dr. Anael Elikana Sam holds a PhD in Electronics Engineering, from the Institute of Electronics and Photonics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. In December, 2012 he joined The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computational Communication Science and Engineering (CoCSE). In July 2017 he was tasked to lead the proposal writing team applying to host the Center of Excellence in Information Communication Technology (ICT) for East Africa (CENIT@EA) a grant by the German Government through German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). After a stiff competition, NM-AIST won the grant at a tune of 1.4 Million €uro to host CENIT@EA at NM-AIST. He briefly lead the CENIT@EA project during the initiation period.
