NM-AIST is starting with two schools, namely; the School of Life Sciences and Bio-Engineering (LSBE), and the School of Mathematics, Computational and Communication Science and Engineering (MCCSE). These two schools initially have five departments. In addition to the two schools, there are three start-up semi-autonomous departments, charged with planning the establishment of the schools of:
(1) Materials Science and Engineering (MaSE);
(2) Water Resources and Environmental Science and Engineering (WESE);
(3) Sustainable Energy Science and Engineering (SESE).
A department of Business Studies and Humanities (BuSH) is also established to deliver the modules necessary for the engineering and science students to develop attributes that will enable them become effective industry captains, technology managers and academic leaders. This department is charged with planning futudre establishment of the School of Business Studies and Humanities (BuSH) for the training technopreneurs and academic leaders. |
